U GALLERY

- ENTRE MARES -

This exhibition is called Entre Mares and it is a compilation of different works from different times in my artistic journey and the title is a resume of the way I have created my artistic portfolio, literally Between Seas.

I was born and raised very close to the Caribbean Sea and that definitely makes me what I am today, and the way in which I see, live, enjoy and accept life, the world and its madness.

LUREN GALLERY

- DISTURBANCE AND TRANQUILITY -

Katalina Mavares is exploring her spiritual journey through two ways: one is through abstract paintings, the other one is through drawing painstakingly detailed Mandalas. Although the two seems contradictory in terms of the working process, they all carry the same message: the underlying philosophy, to see the other side of a situation, independent of the extreme negativity facilitated by the social media.

VENUE: Luren Gallery. Suzhou - China.

DATE: March 2019.

SUZHOU ART COLLECTIVE

- LOVE LETTERS -

This collection is based on the good, the beautiful and the free that is love.

I asked different people to write a letter or a message for someone or something beloved and the result was fantastic. I have received letters to brothers, to children who have not yet been born, to longed countries, to unfinished loves, to eternal loves...

I use the letters as an inspiration to create the Artworks that make up this collection, as a tribute to the beauty of being in love, to the bitterness of love and the sweetness of nostalgia.
